Requirements:
The Marching band class is designed to acquaint the student with the organization, musical skills, and self-discipline of the contemporary Marching Band. The class will consist of a standard instrumentation of woodwind, brass, and percussion players with the addition of the color guard unit. Attendance at all summer rehearsal, camps, after-school rehearsals, and performance is required. Enrollment is limited to those with exceptional musical skills and self-discipline as determined by audition or consent of the instructor. The marching band performs at all home football and basketball games and a minimal number of Marching Band Festivals. The Symphonic Band performs at least two concerts per year and attends all K.M.E.A music festivals.
Activities:
Other optional activities include All Regional Band, All State Band, Honors Band, and K.M.E.A. solo and ensembles.
