Requirements:
National Honor Society is a service organization for sophomores, juniors and seniors who have exhibited strong academics as well as positive attitudes and actions. Members must be at least a sophomore with an accumulated weighted Grade Point Average of at least 3.5. The student must also exhibit good character and leadership qualities and agree to perform community service during the school year as an individual and participate in NHS chapter projects. To remain a member, the student must maintain the 3.5 GPA, complete service hours, maintain good character, and demonstrate leadership.
Activities:
Holding a formal induction ceremony.
Meeting monthly.
Organizing and carrying out service projects.
Providing help during community events like MLK Day and school events like awards ceremonies.
Comments:
The National Honor Society consists of sophomore, junior and senior students who have met the requirements for membership and maintained the academic standing and service hours requirements for continuing membership.
Meetings will be announced. Service projects occur throughout the school and community.
